Meeting with Anne and Matthias 3.12

The session started with a conversation in the form of an interview in which we asked each other questions on the project. (Anne-Eleni). These can be heard at the hearing section of this blog.

We continued working on the previous principles/tasks and added two more.

So this time we worked on :

General movement

Collective movement

Specific movement

Independent movement

In the second part of the day we included live music. Mathias, the musician also followed the same principles within music.

We also had a conversation in which we asked each other questions and answered them building Q&A by using principles.

The principles one could pick for forming a question where the following:

1. ask one general question on the topic

2. ask one specific question on the topic

3. ask one personal question on the topic

4. ask one question that one can answer only with a question

5. ask one question that can be only answered with movement

6. ask a question on "desire"

7. ask a question (on, in relation to, or in which the word is included) "violence"

8. ask a question (on, in relation to, or in which the word is included) "femininity"

9. ask a question (on, in relation to, or in which the word is included) "power"

10. pick a word to include in your question : be aware, be myself, intimacy, silence, core, serious faces, contemplate, performativity, real, true, listen, voice, inside, love, unlearning, atrophy, conversation, moment, inside your head, not maintaining, who is you, who is me, you, me. (*)

11. one or more questions related to what is written on the post its

The principles one could pick to answer the question were the following:

1. Free association : In my answers I replace nouns with other nouns or words that come to mind immediately for this word (i.e house replaced by safety)

2. Answer by saying what you are thinking or how you are feeling

3. Answer by including the phrases :

being-self

being-in-common

being-separated

4. ask a question that the person who answers starts by saying: "I fight precariousness in the modern world with"...

5. pick a word to include in your answer (the same as above)(*)

(*) these words have emerged from previous improvisations on the topic of conversations and movement conversations with several groups , in Zurich and in Arnhem.

The principles selected were the following :

For building Questions:

1. ask a question on "desire"

2. one question that you can answer only with a question

3. ask a personal question

The principles selected for answering were:

1. free association

2. answer by including the following:

being-self

being-in-common

being-separated

We only had time to work on the first principle of Q&A so we asked each other questions on "desire" and answered by replacing nouns in our answers with words that came immediately in our minds

The questions where:

Anne: If you could create a new form of commonality, how do you wish people to interact in there?

Eleni: How do you think you could include more pleasure in the practice?

Mathias: How would collective desire look for you?

We only had time to do one round of these questions to one another.
